DOorDIE takes a step back from their usual Gi layout with the Sashiko. Minimizing the contrast elements and accent stitching, this piece rather focuses on the Gi as a whole. It's navy blue with navy blue stitching, navy blue drawstring/loops, and embroideries in either navy blue or other shades of blue/grey. DOorDIE achieves a classy and interesting vibe by combining elements of American and Japanese culture into one cohesive uniform.
The primarily all navy blue design is a reflection of the more modest Japanese kimono taste, while the splashes of red (side vents and YOU CANT TEACH HEART inner print) add some US flavor. Inside the jacket shoulder lining, reinforcements, and pants waist, you'll find a sublimated lining that features a simple and tasteful Japanese-inspired pattern.
Like their battle-proven Hyperfly, this kimono utilizes 450 GSM Pearl Weave and 10 oz twill cotton. In additional to typical DOorDIE branding, this piece is also fitted with a three-part embroidery that pays tribute to the three major influences in BJJ. . . Featuring the flags of Japan, Brazil, and the USA. Includes a 4-way stretch fabric for the crotch gusset, which drastically reduces the pressure on what is without a doubt one of the most stressed seams on a pair of BJJ pants (the crotch seams). Knees are reinforced with a double layer of twill. To make tying and untying an easy process, Do or Die uses a stretchy rope drawstring and 6-point loop system.
